Since all the commands for doing things in MChat are different than other clients, I felt it necessary to provide a wiki page listing MChat's commands, and the acompanying syntax.

cmd:nick
Changes user's nickname
  • Syntax: cmd:nick rstat1
cmd:id
Identifies the current nick. Not normally needed as MChat auto-identifies the nick for you
  • Syntax: cmd:id password
cmd:join
Joins a channel
  • Syntax: cmd:join #mchat
cmd:quit
Displays an optional quit message and disconnects from the server
  • Syntax: cmd:quit Enter a message of your choice here
cmd:topic
Where allowed, changes the topic on a channel
  • Syntax: cmd:topic Enter a topic of your choice here
cmd:kick
Where allowed, kicks the specified user from a channel
  • Syntax: cmd:kick rstat1 Enter Kick reason
cmd:mode
Where allowed changes the mode of the specified user
  • Syntax: cmd:mode +o rstat1
cmd:action
The MChat equivalent of /me
  • Syntax: cmd:action throws house at rstat1
cmd:amsg
Sends the message following the command to all the open channels.
  • Syntax: cmd:amsg mChat supports amsg now Yay!
